The Rollercoaster of Success: Lessons from the Ups and Downs of Entrepreneurship
When you see someone else’s success, it may seem like they’ve achieved it effortlessly and that it will last forever. But the reality is that even the most successful people and designers often face their own challenges and setbacks. As @sivakpartners shares, their journey has been a rollercoaster, with high points and low points, including a $100,000 mistake.
The key, they’ve learned, is to develop resilience and determination to keep pushing forward, even when it seems like there are no solutions in sight. As they explain, “Success is not a single publication in a renowned magazine or recognition from colleagues. Success is a constant work and a process.”
Last spring, sivakpartners.com opened an office in Kyiv, only to have to move out just three months later due to sublease issues. It took them 6 months to find a new space, and they felt like they were being “harshly pushed back” just as they were about to achieve their long-held dream.
But sivakpartners.com didn’t give up. They persevered, just like a “laboratory mouse in a maze, searching for the way out and a piece of cheese.” As “My crown doesn’t fall when I take it as an example.” Even when you don’t know where to go, you can’t just stand and wait – you have to keep moving, even if it’s blindly trying different options.
After reviewing dozens of spaces and thousands of real estate listings (which they describe as a “hellhole”), sivakpartners.com found a new, even better location for their Kyiv office, now at Predslavynska 55 (near the Lybidska metro station). Their Odesa office remains at Genuezska 24D.
The photo shared is of their previous Kyiv office, but they promise to cozy up the new space and open the doors to their “sexy design forge” very soon.
