The modern bathroom is no longer a mere utilitarian space; it has evolved into a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation. In the realm of interior design, modern bathroom design has taken center stage, revolutionizing the way we perceive and utilize these essential rooms. Combining sleek aesthetics, innovative technology, and a focus on functionality, modern bathroom design has become a symbol of elegance and luxury.
In this blog, we will explore a bit more of the bathroom design we did in our projects.
Beach Hotel Project
Modern bathrooms are characterized by clean lines and a minimalist approach to design. The emphasis is on simplicity, with clutter-free spaces that create a sense of tranquility. Floating vanities, wall-mounted fixtures, and concealed storage solutions are popular choices that contribute to an uncluttered and spacious atmosphere. In our “Beach Hotel” project you can see the use of neutral colors such as white, beige, and grey further accentuates the feeling of modernity and sophistication.
Pyrogova Bathroom
While minimalism is a hallmark of modern bathroom design more and more people are choosing to incorporate natural elements for a warmer and more serene feel. Adding wood, stone, or plants to the space can provide a counterbalance to the coolness of contemporary finishes. Wooden accents in vanities or shelving, stone sinks, and well-placed plants can all help create an organic and calming ambiance in the bathroom. For this project, we used travertine stone and wooden accent storage to achieve this effect.
Tanu Gelateria | Ruma Beauty Studio
Technology plays an increasingly significant role in modern bathroom design. Smart mirrors with built-in lighting and Bluetooth connectivity allow you to control your music and lighting preferences seamlessly. Inside the Tanu gelateria we incorporate Bluetooth lighting so you can adjust the brightness and even the color throughout the day. Motion-sensing faucets and toilets with integrated bidet functionalities enhance convenience and hygiene. You can see these Dyson sensor faucets we made for the Ruma beauty studio. Additionally, digital shower systems enable precise water temperature and flow control, providing a personalized shower experience.
Daily 11 Coffeeshop | Breadway Bakery
While modern bathroom design often leans towards neutral tones and minimalism, the use of pop-up colors has emerged as a captivating trend to infuse life and playfulness into these spaces. When it comes to commercial projects like cafes and bars, having an aesthetically pleasing spot is essential for social media promotion, and often, that spot is the bathroom. In our Daily 11 project, we opted for a striking contrast of colors inside the bathroom to leave a lasting impression on visitors and increase the likelihood of them taking a selfie and sharing it on social media. Similarly, at our Breadway bakery, we use a combination of pink, orange, and deep blue colors to create a cheerful atmosphere.
Luxury Bathroom
Contemporary bathrooms tend to feature lavish materials such as marble, granite, and superior millwork. These materials not only enhance the aesthetics but also improve durability and longevity. Opt for larger tiles or slabs that reduce grout lines, creating a modern and streamlined look. In the “16th” project, we used Cipollino Ondulato marble slabs throughout, with a custom-made vanity countertop also in the same marble. We added chrome accents and beautiful custom handles to complete the luxurious look.
In conclusion, modern bathroom design has transcended traditional norms to create spaces that blend elegance, functionality, and innovation. Embracing minimalism, natural elements, technological advancements, and luxurious materials, modern bathrooms have become an oasis of style and comfort. Whether you prefer a serene spa-like retreat or a cutting-edge high-tech experience, let us offer you our vision and help you create the design for your daily routine and enrich your well-being.
