Honchara apartment

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Area: 367 sq.m.
Team: Alexey Gulesha, Serhii Molchanov
Year: 2024

The apartment is located in the central part of Kyiv, in a historic building, and occupies an entire floor. The client is passionate about art, loves natural materials, and values the city’s history.
We were eager to create a unique space without overloading it with excessive decor. Every element was carefully selected to evoke new shades of emotions in the interior while remaining highly functional.

The lighting in the main rooms is not just a technical feature. The Viabizzuno chandelier in the bedroom seems to embrace the bed, sensually curving over it and spreading soft reflections throughout the room. The crystal pendants by Ingo Maurer in the living room do not emit light themselves but rather reflect the light of fixtures hidden behind wall projections. This creates a dramatic atmosphere that inspires you to walk around the house in an elegant dress, sinking your bare feet into the luxurious Minotti shaggy carpet.

Dark, almost black parquet is laid throughout most of the apartment. We wanted to emphasize the contrast between the chocolate tone of the rustic wood and the light blue hues of marble and carpets. This combination of strictness and softness resonates deeply with the character of the apartment’s owner.
