COOSH is a Ukrainian clothing and accessories brand that began its journey in 2017 in Ternopil. Starting as a small local showroom, the brand gradually grew into a recognizable label with its own production facilities and physical spaces in several Ukrainian cities. Today, COOSH is represented in Kyiv, Ternopil, Lviv, and Odesa.
One of the distinctive aspects of working with COOSH is that the client does not have a strict design code, despite having already opened around a dozen stores. This is our second project with the brand, and together with the client, we sought to discover unique combinations of materials and forms that would shape the overall identity of the space.
This is a women’s clothing store, and the collections can be very vibrant from season to season, so the interior should not compete with or overpower them. For this reason, we chose light-colored walls, simple forms, soft curves, and the client’s favorite veneer tone as the most natural solution.
There’s always a place for rugged men to relax in rugged vintage leather armchairs.
A showroom is always a challenging space to design: it needs to feel complete and self-sufficient when almost empty, yet still work seamlessly when filled with people on opening day.
The showroom has stairs at the entrance and inside, but ramps, elevators, and fitting rooms for people with reduced mobility are provided throughout the space.
